A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

5.0

*from notion archiveOmg I had forgotten how good this book is!!! Like the twists and turns are so good and the characters are so much more complex. There is no tropes, like the popular girl who isn't what she seems is such an overdone trope but Andie had layers of complexity. Pip could have been a totally 2D boring study obsessed character but she was interesting. Her dynamic with Ravi could have been really romantic and stupid but instead they bounce off of each other and they have a good energy. I get literally goosebumps when reading some scenes in this book For some reason the ending reminds me of the ending in Murder on the Orient Express. Like in some way many people are responsible for her death and justice is given. RIP Barney 🙏 I'm honestly so excited to read the 2nd book! One thing I really love is how they will start a chapter with a horror story style line and then completely change the meaning next sentence. Like one dude is holding up a knife and suddenly you find out its just for pumpkins, like it makes you second guess everything you are reading.
