This was such a great book. I was a little dubious once the whole paranormal element was introduced, as I'm usually not a fan, but I actually really enjoyed this one. I did figure out the twist fairly early on as well as who the murderer was, but it didn't take anything away from the story at all. 
I can't wait to read the next book in this series (after I've read the prequel, which I just got approved for on netgalley, so yay me)
