The Outsider by Stephen King

5.0

Damn. So, spoiler warning: the scene of the murdered kid is graphic. But it's Stephen King, what do you expect? I love the way he entwines this El Cuco with other legendary entities like Baba Yaga, etc. in order to craft something that could be real in some sense of the word. It's creepy, delightful, and disturbing all in one. As always, Stephen King doesn't disappoint. Though I do wonder what his obsession with the number 27 is (27 days for El Cucu, 27 years for It...). Overall great book, had me on the edge of my seat.
