Shades of Magic Vol. 2: Night of Knives by Andrea Olimpieri, V.E. Schwab
4.0
Hell yeah! This was even better than the first instalment. Any sort of trials in a story has become a trope a quite enjoy and I really do think V.E. Schwab does them best, and being able to see them visually was great! Following on from what I said in my review of the first volume, I think the art style was easier to follow this time because I'm finally used to it. I was able to focus more on the story than trying to decipher what was happening in each panel, which I think is key in my enjoyment of graphic novels. I loved the expansion of the character arcs and I'm so excited to see how Maxim's story ends (or rather, begins)!
