Was this a good book? Yes. Did I love it? Absolutely. But did the amount of hype people gave it make the book a little disappointing? Yes. I laughed, I almost cried and I audibly scoffed.

But, without spoiling the book, let's just say I was rooting for the wrong guy for half of it. Whilst the writing was great, it did start to feel a little dragged out (the book is over 500 pages...) and too much started to happen at once. The author piled too much trauma into the book all at one point, which made it hard to process and instead of being as upsetting as presumably intended, it fell a little flat for me.

I 100% get why people love this book and I don't hate it in any way, but I don't think it's 5☆ worthy and I don't think I'd read it again.
