I really struggled with this book. Despite seeing so many excellent reviews raving about it, every time I thought about giving up on it, I convinced myself to keep going, hoping it would improve. I almost DNF at least six times!

I did appreciate the little nods to classic horror characters and the fact that the story was told from a women's perspective. As the story progressed, it did get somewhat better, but I don't think this story will stay with me. It just didn't resonate with me personally.
