The book was published in 1999 so it has definitely dated. There are scraps of info that may be useful but mostly about film stock and video, how to rip people off (or just not pay them), and is full of offensive jokes, including several comments about slitting wrists and committing suicide. 

I understand that much of it is supposed to be a joke and not actually real tips but overall it kind of felt like a waste of time, esp as it is from over 2 decades ago.
