I absolutely loved the way in which the author described scenes - reading the book felt like watching a beautiful movie in my mind’s eye and I felt as if I, too, were a part of this magical world. I withheld a higher rating for the book because I felt the character development could be stronger (in particular having more complex characters to match the descriptive world they were in) and the plot could have progressed more easefully (I noted some gaps and jumps). I look forward to reading the second book to dive back into this world.
