This book was extremely disappointing. I finally decided to read a middle grade fantasy, instead of a YA fantasy, hoping it would be a little lighter, but I was very wrong. This book was EXTREMELY boring and put me in a major reading slump. It felt like just when things were getting exciting, the chapter would end and go back to being boring. I enjoyed the 1st book, but idk if I want to read the 3rd and final book. I was 17 chapters into the 3rd book, but then paused it to read a a YA romance that got me out of my reading slump (This Time It's Real by Ann Liang). Do not really recommend unless you already read the 1st book and want to see what happens, but honestly, just Google it or something. Don't waste your time.
