Easy to understand from a lay person perspective. The perspective is more focused on the cultural aspects of natal care. Can be triggering and also healing in an informitive way. The last chapter before the conclusion goes into ways to use this information for advocacy. The overall book, not only gives us personal and individual aspects of trauma in obstetric care but unites these experiences to reflect on the systematic institutionalized ways we believe, accept, and act by motherhood.
