Odd Fellows: A History of IOOF Australia by Geoffrey Blainey
informative
relaxing
medium-paced
4.75
I read this book as my cricket club, named the Lismore Oddfellows, came about from the IOOF organisation in the western Victorian town in the 1930s. Having read Blainey before I knew it would be an informative read.
Despite the fact that this is clearly a commissioned book it was suitably balanced in it's opinions on early happenings within the IOOF. This did change toward the end of the book but to be expected.
