This has been on my TBR pile for ages and if its on yours push it forward.

This is a little gem of a psychological thriller.

We are all guilty of this but if  you’ve ever found yourself scrolling through Facebook or Instagram and envying the perfect life of someone you see on there, then let Her Name Was Rose be a warning to you. No ones life if that perfect. It's all fake.

Emily the main character witnesses the death of Rose which leads her to try jump into her shoes, quite literally, as on social media Rose had the perfect life.

Emily Is a difficult character to analyse just getting out of a disastrous relationship and being relient on alcohol and pills, as a reader you instantly question her mental health as she is very unhinged. She becomes obsessed with Rose, applies for her vacent job and even starts to get to know her grieving husband.

Emily follows all her old posts on Facebook and literally like Single White Female tries to jump into this dead womans shoes. The book looks at how social media effects relationships and how we view ourselves and others. It also address both physical and psychological abuse.

This book is gripping and a real page Turner. There are lots of red herrings and the ending I did not see coming at all.
