Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira
4.0
After a slow start, Dellaira's book builds to moments, which is the easiest way to describe how each of the letters that Laurel writes to dead celebrities manages to unfold the pieces of her life, her past and the on going turmoil that she can't share about her sister's death. Yes, there are times when you're tempted to backhand Laurel for her unreasonable obsession with a boy that doesn't seem as invested in her as she is in him, but...teenagers, and they're all teenagers and all trying to find their path. Dellaira's style is easy and flowing. She makes the characters flawed and believable. A solid 3 1/2, as Goodreads doesn't allow half stars in their rating system.
