This was very similar to [book:Anne of Green Gables|8127] (surprisingly so), although I liked the Anne series a bit better. I know Anne was written after Rebecca and was clearly influenced by it, but I just think the Anne series is better written. I enjoyed this story though also and I was glad I read it. :)
