I found this book a bit unusual. I was shocked I liked it so much. The writing is the kind that I feel like a reader will either hate or love. I found it unique and refreshing.
The story spans a lifetime from the viewpoint of three characters, mainly Hekat.
I have two complaints but it’s not enough to dissuade me from recommending this book to others or from reading book 2.
1. Their was some spelling errors at the beginning of the book which I know happens but to misspell the main characters name twice on the same page I feel like it extra bad.
2. In some ways I feel the story could have ended about 100 pages earlier. Their are some big time jumps and that’s fine by me but I feel like the last 100 pages could have started a new book and expanded on the story of their conquest.
It’s a great story but I think it’s definitely not for everyone. I felt surprised and intrigued the whole time and the idea of the god coming alive within them was neat though I felt myself alway questioning of someone was doing the gods will or demonstruck.
