A great coming of age story, but the pacing is very jarring.
The real gem in all of it is the growth of Dew & Butch's friendship. I would have loved to see that explored more as well.
The ending was rather abrupt, but I actually don't hate it for this subject- it's very true to life.

I'm excited to read more of Russell Sanders' work now!
