It was cute.
It reminded me of Inuyasha in that (in Inuyasha) everyone thought that Kagome was the reincarnation of Kikyo, a priestess, and that Kagome’s powers came from her relationship to Kikyo. They were wrong as it’s later revealed in more manga volumes and anime episodes.
So in that sense, I’m hoping that Sei’s (in The Saint’s magic power is omnipotent) powers as a Saint will be revealed to more characters, like the eldest prince for example.
