I read “Things you save in a fire” and loved it so much. I chose this book as my second read by Katherine Center and I’m so glad I did. I LOVE a good bodyguard romance and I’ve never read one where the woman is the bodyguard. There are serious topics that go on during this book but it’s also super funny. I had such a great time reading it. Hannah made a mistake and dated a guy (Robbie) who she works with. Plot twist, we don’t like Robbie. It ends up not working out and she gets put on an assignment to be a bodyguard for Jack. He’s an actor and has a stalker. Jack is a dreamboat! He’s going through things in his personal life and Hannah has no idea what she signed up for. He also has nightmares and the way she took care of him 🥹 so freaking sweet. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about one of my favorite tropes being done this way but I’m obsessed! I should mention that they don’t kiss until 83% in so this is by no means a steamy read. In my opinion it didn’t need to be. Do yourself a favor and listen to this one!!
