Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown

I exclaimed "free to be me!" along with Brooke at the end of this book because I too was free from a jail from which I was wrongfully imprisoned. Don't get me wrong, this book isn't terrible, it just isn't wonderful. For me, anyway. Elle and her gaggle of enemies and would-be-buds are just too frivolous to care about. She shirks her responsibilities and acts as if she's too good for the world she is in. Her and her frenemy Sarah spend all of their energy being petty towards each other even though they respect and even like one another, all to keep the attention of a guy who isn't worth the gum stuck to the bottom of their shoes.
Chick-lit isn't my genre, but being a fan of the now iconic character that is Elle Woods, and having my sister sing this book's praises I thought, why not? But honestly this book's drivel and tedious nature is enough to make me hate books period. Books written like this, with no heart or genuine character are what makes people not want to read in the first place.
Save your time; watch the movie. 2.5/5
