Trigger warning for everything you could possible think of for this book. It does not gloss over anything in the reality of war. However I found it did gloss over moments that could have made character deaths more impactful. The book is only 500 pages and it packed at least 4 years into it. By the end of the book Rin was definitely an unlikable character however I found her actions to be true to what was happening around her and based on the trauma she had experienced.
