I always love to read anything vampire and shifter stories. I was pretty excited to read this, especially after the promising premise the novel had.

I pretty enjoyed the characters here, I would say they were written with depth and quite complex in some ways as well. The struggles the main pairing here was something I would say is alarming and definitely need to be taken with delicate care.

With that being said, the characters definitely are interesting, especially the existing characters from the previous books, which I will be reading soon. 

Another thing is that I would have definitely enjoyed this more if the plot is more intricate and also if I had read the previous books.

Nevertheless, it was an okay read for me.
