Why
everytime I think jay kristoff will give me a break, he throat punches me with another big ol wtf. this book ruined me. I thought it for sure couldn’t beat lifelik3, I mean that book was amazing!! But then he really went and wrote deviat3, words cannot adequately sum up how I’m feeling right now I-
alSO,, words cannot sum up how angry I am with eve. This bitch. Like I understand how betrayed she felt after the end of lifelike but what I don’t understand is how she could do a complete 360 and decide to become this murder killing machine. she was able to choose who she wanted to be when she was living in the drags with Silas, to be this badass mechanic wartime fighter and she acts if she had no choice whatsoever in this when really that’s a lie. I mean Ezekiel himself, said how different she was from Ana the girl he loved. I just really don’t understand how she can side with the other messed up lifelikes. To an extent I understand how angry they were at humans for being told to kill and being directed like machines, but Eve never had that. She was treated as a human. She made her own choices. And so now she suddenly decides to do murder killing sprees? My blood was BOILING.
Truly this book just gave me whiplash. It drove me insane how they were all so close to each other yet all so far away, how they came so close to meeting but then didn’t. How thorough it all bloody BioMaas was sending weirdass bee ladies after Lemon, like just give the girl a break. Don’t even get me started on her fake ass ratty “granddad”, which was GENIUS by the way and such a smart twist that I did not see coming at all. But it truly broke me when I realised her was Saint Michael. Like really???? Honestly I just want to protect Lemon, she deserves a family and a home and she was just getting comfortable, what a poor girl. And Grimm and her awwwwww, actually bless them. That was adorable!! Furthermore, I refuse to believe that Cricket (I hate how everyone treats him AHHHHGHGHHHH), Ezekiel (he came so close to being with Ana again noooo), Abraham (literally wtf was with his psycho mum) and others are all dead. I’m assuming the missile exploded but Grimm was able to deflect the heat energy to somewhere else. That would be ideal and that better be what’s happening or I will single-handedly fight jay.
Okay this was pretty much a shitpost but basically what I’m tryna say is that was incredible. It was filled with such action-packed scenes, crazy plot twists, such loveable and hateable characters, I cannot WAIT for the next book. You bet your ass I’ll be at the signing :)))

Once again my soul aches. Lemon Fresh & Crick & Grimm are the only characters who deserve rights.
As much I hated Eve with a burning passion and despised how much she changed (I maintain that her villain origin story is stupid as fuCK, all of her friends were hiding the truth for completely valid reasons & not once were you treated less than by ANYBODY bc of being a lifelike & NOTHING justifies her actions), I really think Zeke’s approach was wrong.
Every description Zeke made of Eve was placing her in comparison to Anna (I mean it makes sense as her replica). The majority of the worth he placed in her was because of how he reminded her of Anna - such an unrealistic expectation. I understand how much love Zeke has for Anna of course, but his approach could’ve been better.
Once again, such a good book.
