Listen, imo this is a very complex book. It has beautiful, descriptive writing that pulled me in and the characters are fascinating. It explores love, sex, obsession, pride, success, failure, hate, and manipulation. It made me laugh out loud, pissed me off, made me cringe, and yet at the end I was smiling. I could delve into the whole psychology of it for hours.
Alas, I am lazy. So here’s a very surface level journey through my reading experience. Beware of spoilers from this point on!
Can’t get into this.
Huge balls-gross🤢
Oh it’s funny😅
Getting a little bored.
Good for Florentino getting out there.
Awww, the dr and Fermina are a sweet love story💕
Dr died how? Rolling😂
Fermina is a female Mr Darcy.
Kinda love Florentino, but in a cringey way.
Fuck the dr and the weird talk around race in this book🖕
Good for Fermina leaving for 2 years👏
Florentino is def the right choice for her.
Yikes he’s a pedo😳
Oh a grooming incest pedo😬
Well we’ve circled back around to sweet. Good for them ig🤷🏻♀️
