I absolutely loved this story and The Cursed Child did not disappoint me. I went into it without any knowledge or expectations. And I went into it knowing there were quite a lot of negative reviews. Most reasons people did not like this story: they thought it read like fan-fic (it's a play... move on), they thought it should be a TRUE Part 8 (J.K. Rowling herself has said this is not a Part 8 but a new story entirely), and some thought it lacked J/K Rowling's magic (well, she wrote it with 2 other people. What can you expect?)

I thought it was a great story - do I wish it were not in a play format? Sure. There would be loads more details and buildups to the climax. But am I glad I read it and did I enjoy it for the format in which it was written? Absolutely.
