Going into this book I expected a more stereotypical fantasy world where technology is limited and morden technology is nonexistent. it was a pleasant change to books with different fae, and I think this world did a good job at combining the fantasy and technology really well.
On top of the interesting world I found Erik and Helena to be good characters with many flaws. This actually made the character growth you see by the end of the book is just highlighted that much more when compared to the beginning. My favourite is Erik out of the two, I found that Helena annoyed me at different parts of the book and comes off very childish in a situation that clearly calls of seriousness.
In saying that like I mentioned because these scenes were so clearly written by time you get to the end of the book you appreciate the character development.
