Switch Bitch by Roald Dahl

2.0

okay. I am never touching this book again.

I picked up this book because I was curious how Roald Dahl would write a book for adults. I was not prepared for what I just read.

The four short stories are mainly about pervy men finding ways to sleep with women. Consent doesn't exist in this world, and the way the men in this book talk about women is so disgusting. I was glad to find out that the main male characters generally 'lost' in some way by the end of the stories, by persuing their immoral antics. The third story triggered me as well, I don't even know why it was written. I only hope that these short stories don't reflect the views of the author, as Roald Dahl definitely is skilled at writing and has done some great children's books that I have loved.

Triggers: rape, self harm, sexual assault, suicide, etc.
