The Art of Discovery: Hollywood Stars Reveal Their Inspirations by Jeff Vespa, Robin Bronk

5.0

I bought this book because I am a huge Jeremy Renner fan so page 102 was my focus :) but it is a lovely book regardless with a range of artists well known and not so well known from different areas of the acting profession theatre, cinema and television. Both young Ashley Greene, Kristen Stewart, Joseph Gordon Levitt to the amazingly aging gracefully among them William H Macy and Robert Davi. Isn't it a shame that it isn't trendy to be who you are to have a face that is lived in and shows your experiences of life instead of the wrinkle free stretched look so prevalent of late especially for women. As Julie Walters says "If everybody had facelifts, there would be no one to play the old people!" The photos are often full of movement not just still portraits and to accompany the photos are quotes from each actor revealing something that happened to them that inspired them. A great coffee table book.
