Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott
4.0
“When the sun begins to set, we do exactly as we did the night before. Caroline fusses over Dink. Jaxon ogles Harper. The boys gather desert debris for our beds. Guy watches me undress. I imagine our wedding.”
Fire and Flood was such a fast-paced, action-packed and nostalgic read. It reminded me of my youth days when I'd sit on the floor and watch 3 hours of Pokémon non stop. When people said that this was a mix of The Hunger Games mixed with Pokémon I thought they were lying, but they weren't.
Fire and Flood is by no means a perfect book, but it's fun and once you start reading you won't be able to stop, and that's the sort of book everyone wants to read.
I'm pumped for the release of Salt and Stone.
“When I first saw the sand, I thought it was beautiful. Like maybe it'd be fun to just roll around in and make sand angels. Now I know the truth, that sand is actually the love child of proud parents Marie Antoinette and Joseph Stalin.”
