Sweet Holiday Surprise by Cindy Kirk
2.75
2.75 stars - Read as a Kindle document from Prolific Books (free) back in a February 2023, though I wasn’t a launch team member. It released in November.
The premise sounded light and fun but it lacked some depth for me. Even with light books, I want something more. It felt high school-ish in places. The FMC seemed a little shallow and self-absorbed. While the premise was good, it wasn’t fleshed out as well as I expected it to be.
It’s book 8 in a series of 8. I think it can be read as a standalone without issues. Perhaps it’s my age of being over 50 that this didn’t feel suited to me but it was still a nice romantic read.
