I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery involving a safe cracking heroine who is caught on a job one night and offered the chance at freedom in exchange for helping British intelligence during World War II open a safe and retrieve plans critical to the British war effort. The ensuing adventure is fast-paced and the mystery is twisty and includes unexpected surprises. The characters are  smart and witty and there is a bit of romance too. A very satisfying book from the Currently Reading Indie Press List at Parnassus Books.
