𝑾𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉 is beautifully written, fast paced and it has a lovely story. I found myself enjoying it very much and ended up liking it a lot. I have not read any other books by Rachel Griffin, but I'll have to check them out. 

🪶 Witches live peacefully among humans, who do not possess any kind of magic, and with their abilities, they've been helping and contributing to society like everyone else. Iris Gray comes from a family of Witches. One night a tragic event happens involving her best friend, and Iris and her mom decide to move out of Nebraska, to get away from what they've been through because of the incident. They move in the Pacific Northeast, where together they run a wildlife refugee. They found their peace here and they love this place. 

🪶 But because Iris still deals with some anxiety and frustrations, she practices a habit she learned from her grandmother, where she casts spells and binds them to herbs, which she burns after, never realesing the spell into the wild, but to help relieve her emotions. Frustrated and annoyed with the intern at the refugee, because of something hurtful he said, she casts a curse meant for him, Pike Alder. But before she can bind it to the herbs, the owl that's been watching her for a while, scoops down and the curse binds to it. Owls are sacred to Witches, and also serve as an amplifier to any spell used. 

🪶 Terrified that the secrets she's been keeping threaten to be revealed, or that something similar to what happened two years ago might occur again, she decides to go searching for the bird, capture the owl and fix her mistake before the Council of Witches finds out about her curse. And who else other than Pike would join her on this adventure, since he's a student in ornithology. 

I liked Iris and the love she has for the nature and its wildlife. I found it beautiful and relaxing. I enjoyed the cute banter between her and Pike and their vulnerabilities. It is an YA enemies to lovers magical story, and although it is not solely a romance story, it definitely plays an important part in the narrative, which I think contributes to the character growth.
