Jay has appeared in a few of the other books in the series not sure if it’s the later ones has I haven’t read in order . Jay is a staunch conservationist and when he realises who Ryan is he hates him because he’s a Redpine . Ryan hates what his father is doing to the environment and wants no part of it and it upsets him when people think he supports him and won’t give him a chance. When his dorm room floods he’s sent to a new dorm and it turn out to be Jay with both having a strong attraction to each other will Jay be able to see Ryan isn’t like his father and give him a chance.
