The Darkest Seduction by Gena Showalter

3.0

3,5 stars

I've been waiting for Paris' story a long time and when I finally have the opportunity to read it I guess I expected much more than this. The expectations were very high and the overall feeling is that something in this book is definitely missing.
Don't get me wrong - I'm happy because I finally got the chance to see Paris and Sienna together with their HEA but as I was reading the book I didn't feel any kind of intensity and I certainly don't think the book deserved its five hundred pages. It's exaggeratedly extensive. For me it was just another love story and that's why I'm disappointed.
But I've gotta hand it to you, Gena - you sure know how to mess things up and mix them up a little bit.
The new developments of this were very exciting and I guess this book marks the point of no return for LOTUS series and that's a very positive thing because the series needed this kind of revolution.
My head is actually spinning with the various possibilities for the future of the characters and the series in general.
I guess I'm a little sad because I was hoping to give this one 5stars and I really wanted to adore this book instead of just liking it but that's the way I feel.
