Meh. It was okay, but if it wasn't for uni I would never have considered reading this. The form of an epistolary novel definitely made the story feel faster than it probably was, and that was good.. tbh I just wanted this to be over so I'd get to read something else. It was a great example of romanticism as a literary genre, though — I'd say that every textbook theme of romanticism can be found in this book, and so I think it was an essential read for me as a literature student.
