Story has alot of religious imagery and references. Government (Throne) and Church are fighting the Heretics. Misery seems to be some messiah told by some prophecy. Most of the story I was trying to figure out what was going on. Misery, for me, was a cruel character at times and a sympathetic character others times. Got slow and more confusing as the book went on. No recommendation from me.
