Generic plot. Weak characters. Interesting mythos.

The story was decent though a little generic. I will still read the next one. I think the characters could be more believable. The King was supposed to be this scary imposing character, but he caved to whims frequently. Chaol was a bit bland and Dorian lacked the charisma I would expect. Celaena was a little wooden herself. I really liked the mythos of the whole story so I hope they develop it more in future books.
