The Spade Brothers are the ruthless group of men that run Carnage (a prison) for The Lords (a secret society). Their senior year at college The Lords are all gifted a chosen for the year - Saint is gifted Ashtyn. After realizing he would (and must) do anything to keep Ashtyn their lives start taking a turn…
I loved The Ritual and The Sacrifice and had super high expectations for Carnage. Some of the loose ends of Carnage didn’t feel as finished as I like - this may have been intentional for future books - but I felt like it made the book feel a little rushed at the end. I loved that we got another point of view for some of the events we knew took place in other books and the character development for The Spade brothers (I loved them all!) was great. I felt like Ashtyn fell a little flat for me compared to Shantel Tessier’s other FMC’s. Overall, this was very good. I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. I think reading her other books would help make this book more clear and set you up to understand what is happening in this world. Happy reading!
