Reading this book made me wish Laurie Notaro was my friend. Her no-holds-barred candour was equal parts refreshing and side-splittingly hilarious. I was doubled over with laughter reading aloud excerpts of her escapades to my husband. I skipped over her pages of recipes, but there was enough to love that I'll be reading her other books soon.
