The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
5.0
At first I saw just couple of episodes of the TV show and I just though: WOW, I wish this was based on a book… And you just can't imagine my happiness when I found out my wishes came true. First let me just say, that the TV show is very accurate and therefor very good. The only thing is that it actually takes less time to read the book that to watch it :D
The Handmaid's Tale is something miraculous. It's a dystopian as I've never seen before (that MIGHT be because it's the first adult dystopian I've ever read). The main character is smart and likable. I love here that you can never trust anyone and even if you do, it never lasts for long.
Also I would love to applaud Margaret Antwood for making the longest cliffhanger ever. I looked up the date the book was first published (1985) and the second part to it is supposed to come out in September 2019. Can you imagine waiting for the second book this long. Many people die before they could even read it!
As always even in this book I couldn't avoid a latin motto. And I don't mind, because the author was capable enough to pick a good one:
