before I read this, and I was itching to get started, I re-read books 1 and 2 of the All Souls Trilogy. I'm glad I did because I'd forgotten bits and some of the main characters. It was good to immerse myself in Matthew and Diana's world too, in readiness for book 3. I was not disappointed! Several times I thought I had the ending sorted only to have twists and turns in the plot to throw me off the scent. I loved all of it but especially the development of the characters surrounding Matthew and Diana, particularly the characters of Gallowglass and Ysabeau. Simply stunning conclusion to the All Souls Trilogy. No spoilers, just get yourself a copy and read it. Don't plan on doing anything else though ;D
