Most of the lower rated reviews talk about how this book is aimed at teenagers rather than those of us who are fast approaching 50 and that's true. But that's how I've reviewed the book. This was my first D&D book back in the day - before this my fantasy fiction was The Hobbit, Earthsea and Pern (with an abortive attempt at The Lord of the Rings - really must try that one again).

Re-reading it again some 30 years later and I have to say I still enjoyed it. It reminded me why I like D&D and love the Forgotten Realms. Definitely 5 stars from me.
