The Adult Side of Dyslexia by Kelli Sandman-Hurley

5.0

This was read as an E-Arc on Netgalley, so thankyou to Netgalley for providing the chance for such an impactful book to be read by reviewers.
This book is an excelent collation of information and experiences about dyslexia, it provides those with dyslexia and other disabilities that affect reading to feel seen, and it provides such great insight and information for those who aren't in that category.
I highly recommend this book to everyone, as it is such an important conversation that NEEDS to be had. I know too many people who have been failed by the education system, including myself, who need you to hear stories like theirs.

The chapter 'Acknowledge, Advocate and Accomodate' is a very useful collation of information and actions different types of people need to make to help the dyslexic community, and it was amazing.
The rest of the book was such a relatable and saddening look into the perspectives of 50 dyslexic adults.
Their stories need to be heard.
