"Every end came with a new beginning. I just had to make sure we started over together."
yeah.. maybe one star is still too much for this book.
let me start by staying I actually don't like second chance romance or marriage in crisis troupe but I was ready to give this book a change because, who knows? maybe I would've ended up liking it. huge mistake I should've stayed away because my god the time I lost..
I feel the book was over hyped as this one big dramatic and very sad book.. it was plain boring and then it became infuriating.
at first it literally didn't have any sense for ale to ask for a divorce–yeah she was tired and I get it but she truly never talked about it with dom. how can you blame him for not knowing it when you never told him?? the can't read minds. she just took the decision and went with it and then couldn't truly hold on to her own self, she kept getting back with him putting this dumb conditions like girl...
now, with dom I was a little biased, I admit. I felt bad for him bc as someone who also comes from a poor background I understand this insane drive to make more money to always feel as you're never truly financially safe. he did wronged ale but I could understand why he did it. still, he didn't had any major development whatsoever, just literally the bare minimum.
honestly this whole book felt as a joke. the big dramatic gesture dom makes in order to win back ale?? so fucking dumb and it wasn't even like a big sacrifice idk it just LACKED generally.
what is happening to ana is she losing her way to make through stories because so many side plots that came out of nothing like dom's brother and then just.. disappear?? she didn't developed anything she was here just to fulfill the minimum word required.
