I felt a lot of emotions reading this immaculate piece of fantasy fiction, and similarly to the Poppy War, it will stay with me forever. I absolutely LOVED this book!!! Fonda Lee’s writing grips and excites you, and on top of amazing world-building, compelling and flawed characters, and short and sweet action scenes, the plot is CHEF’S KISS!! All of the love I see for this book is well deserved, and I can’t wait to have my heart ripped out of me once I read the second one. :’)
