I finished this this morning but WOW. this book was amazing. it is definitely a slow paced book, which is probably why I couldn't get into it the first time. but this second time was obviously the right time, because I fell in love with Marie-Laure's and Werner's stories. Doerr's prose is also so incredibly beautiful. Definitely one of my favorites of the year!
