Pick Me Up: A Collection of Poems Designed to Uplift by Adil Dad
5.0
The eloquent writing took me by surprise and I kinda didn't want it to end.
One of my favourite pieces from about 265:
there's a whole universe inside you
but you don't feel it.
exploding stars.
endless wormholes
but you don't see it.
- injustice.
I loved the whole look to the book. The delicate words and bold statements on life, faith, self-love and growth. The stunning travel photography that just. makes. you. pause. But my favourite parts were the prompts to write down things or collect memories. This is more than just a collection of poetry; it's a journey of spiritual discovery and I can see myself going back again and again to read/work in it.
