The Ninth Rain by Jen Williams
3.0
Frankly speaking, I feel very much disappointed as this book was one of my most anticipated reads after hearing so much talk and good reviews about it.
I was really engaged (although not loving it) up until the last half of the book. Something was feeling slightly off for me and in the last few chapters I figured out that the dialogue and the action scenes were quite disjointed and were not making much sense at all, and this only served to affect (in a negative way) the credibility of the characters and their interactions. It was an absolute jumble of images and words that didn't add up.
So sad to say that with the sheer amount of books that are out there, continuing with this series is not a priority and is not something that I'm looking forward to.
