Crimes Of Passion by Treasure Press
5.0
I've always found true crime fascinating but prefer those with an historical base not more modern than the 1960s so this book was perfect. I picked this book up in a secondhand bookstore for £2 which was a bargain. It is A4 size and in newspaper column style with many photos, news front pages and illustrations setting out the cases and each gets around 5/6 pages of coverage. It breathes new life into more familiar tales such as Ruth Ellis, the Red Barn murder, Florence Maybrick and those I was less familiar with and in different geographical locations but all with the common theme of crimes of passion.
If you are a true crime buff then I would highly recommend this absorbing book which clearly details the background of the salient figures, the crime, trial, the various theories surrounding events and the ultimate verdict.
