Can I just say.. wow! What a book. After reading The Institution last year and finding out that Helen was releasing another book, I literally counted down the months until this was released. I was not disappointed.
This book had me holding my breath, anxious and so scared for the characters. Midnight was the ultimate badass. She was brave and never took no for an answer. She saved lives.
Dawn and Doris, they was amazing characters. Doris being the maternal figure I think Midnight and Dawn needed in their lives. Dawn was just the sweetest sister. Even with all of her problems, she warmed my heart.
I didn't think much of DI Josk Ruskin. He seemed like he was going to be a real good guy,to then just turn around and walk away just for a better paycheck!
Overall, this book was tense, mysterious, and so, so good. Please go check it out!
