Together, we stitched the world's wounds closed. Together, we gave the life we were about to leave behind one more chance.

This is probably the most beautiful book conclusion I have ever read. This book has destroyed me and put my pieces back again. I don't know a better word to describe how much this book means to me and all these characters. This isn't just a fantasy book for me, it's so much more. It's a book of hope and unwavering love. Tisaanah and Max have my whole heart, even typing this review is making me sob.

I'm so satisfied at how everything was concluded. It wasn't all just happy, but it's the way Tisaanah and Max were able to achieve the peace and the world they have been hoping for since the start of this series and they made it all come true. The love and devotion of these two to each other made me believe that in even the darkest days, there would always be light. Two broken souls, reshaping a new world.

I just also loved the way each characters were written and developed throughout the entire series. In a world that has been unkind to each of them, we've seen the differences of how it shaped each one; Max and Tisaanah, even with their broken and imperfect souls were able to still wield goodness out of their hearts. They believed in each other more than anything in this world and that's what saved them; Cardan and Aefe were two people who didn't have enough time to live. They were snatched a future, before they could even begin. They broke my heart the most but also glad that they were together on the other side of life. They did deserve better but their sacrifice have given everyone they left behind a chance for a better future. I did wish Aefe got more than life has given her, but I'm also thankful that Cardan was able to give her back the thing she needed the most even at their short mundane time: Love. My heart just swells for them; Nura is such an interesting, complex character. As much as I hated her, I still could feel her. She was forced to be the kind of person she didn't want to be, to be able to survive in a world that doesn't want her. She thought that being strong would make her feel finally belong, but this very reason also destroyed her and everything she loved.

I'm just so amazed at how brilliant was the writing on this. The magic system, especially the characters, the epic battles (kinda reminded me of LOTR) and the plot itself was so, so good. One thing about Carissa is that her main characters will not just be inlove but they'll be devoted to each other for life and that's really something beautiful. They won't just love each other, but they'll be two souls finally meeting and completing each other's pieces. This book is like infinite over 5 stars if I'm being honest. Nothing has made me feel so, so overwhelmed in years. Thank you for this book, Carissa! I will miss all of them 🥹
